Sylvan Lake Park is a 120 property located west of Sanford and just north of the Markham Woods corridor. It is home to the Seminole County Training Center, a world-renowned facility equipped with 15,000 square feet of training and conference space and six international dimension soccer fields. The training center was home to the 1996 U.S. Olympic Gold Medal Women's Soccer Team. The venue is a prime destination for all types of events, including soccer, rugby, field hockey, lacrosse, American football, and flag football.
In addition to the training center, the park borders 188 acre Lake Sylvan and offers activities such as fishing, non-powered boating, hiking on elevated boardwalks, racquetball, beach volleyball, and tennis courts. There are plenty of areas for picnics, as well as pavilions for shade.
