Alaqua Country Club
Alaqua Country Club is a semi-private country club located in the Alaqua development in Longwood off Markham Woods Road, just south of Lake Mary. The club features a championship golf course designed by Gary Player. Carved out of 
thick Wekiva River basin forest, the course is home to lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery. Golfers regularly see deer, wild turkeys, black bears, hawks, bald eagles, and sand hill cranes. Lots of water comes into play and the fairways are somewhat narrow. If you don't put your ball in play here, chances are you're not going to venture into these thick woods to find it.
