Wekiva Island

Wekiva Island is a nature lover's gathering spot on the Wekiva River in Longwood, just west of Sweetwater Oaks and just north of the Wekiva development.  Guests enjoy a bar, rental cabanas, beach volleyball, swimming, kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rental.  Wekiva is at the former site of the Wekiva Marina and Restaurant, which burned several years ago.  The site is adjacent to two massive housing developments, but still has the vibe of Old Florida.
