Spring Hammock Preserve is 1,500 acres of natural land fed by hidden springs through lush hammocks of oak, hickory, bald cypress, and cabbage palms located in Longwood and Winter Springs. Many rare species call the preserve home and some of its bald cypress trees are world record holders. Seminole County Public Schools leases a small part of the property where they have an environmental studies center for fifth grade students across the county that includes the famed "mud walk", where students have an excuse to come home good and dirty. The Cross-Seminole Trail bisects the preserve and the property includes Soldier's Creek Park, Big Tree Park, and part of the Florida National Scenic Trail.

One, however, clearly distinguished himself as being in a complete league of his own. That person was Doug Packard." - Kimberly and Russ Stocker Read More
