Noticeably absent from the Lake Mary Farmer’s Market was Barnwood Bar-B-Que. Owner Dan Backhaus says they’ll probably be back when the weather cools off a bit. In the meantime, they are going to be at a farmer’s market in The Villages, where summer crowds have not been stifled as much by the heat. Hmmm, even with the absence of snowbirds?
I consider my myself somewhat of a barbecue connoisseur, and this cue might even be worth the drive to the Villages. I just don’t find many places that master “low and slow” like Barnwood. Must stop this post. Getting hungry. Hope to see Barnwood back in Lake Mary soon!
