Seminole County Schools Make The Grade Once Again

No big surprise, but the Seminole County school district received a grade of “A” from the Florida Department of Education for 2013.  Seminole County has received an “A” every year since the state began giving letter grades in 1999.  More to come later on individual school scores.

Lake Mary Homes For Sale - Not Enough To Go Around

So, you think the Lake Mary real estate inventory situation is dismal right now?  Just wait.  It’s going to get worse.  In the last few months, both Digital Risk and Verizon have announced new facilities in Lake Mary, each creating over 700 new jobs for the Lake Mary area.  Now, Florida Blue apparently has Rinehart Place at the corner of Rinehart Road and SR 46A under contract, where they plan to lease out the buildings in the front to retail and house one of their health plans in the adjacent office buildings.  I’m not sure what’s so magical about the number 700, but that’s the number of new jobs they say are going to be created for the Lake Mary area.

Granted, these 2,100 jobs won’t be filled all at the same time.  But even if they’re filled over the next two years, where are these folks going to live?  Currently, there are only 124 single family homes listed for sale in Lake Mary.  Yes, some will live in Sanford, some in Longwood, some in Winter Springs, and even some will commute to and from Oviedo.  While the Orlando real estate market is healthier than it’s been in some time, the Lake Mary market in particular appears poised for at least a couple of years of solid growth.  You can find all homes currently for sale in Lake Mary here:  http://www.buyerbroker.com/lake-mary/
