Located off Orange Blvd. west of I-4 in Sanford, Preserve at Astor Farms is a 275 home gated community featuring homes built by Engle Homes and Landstar Homes priced from $300,000 to $550,000. Convenient to Seminole Town Center, I-4, Lake Mary office parks, and Colonial Town Park.

Doug’s Insight: Engle homes were built on larger lots from 1/3 to ½ acre. Landstar homes were built on ¼ acre or smaller. Aptly named, as this area was a vegetable farm called the Astor Farms. Be aware of street drainage issues after Tropical Storm Fay. Likely to see wildlife in the area since it borders wilderness leading to the St. Johns River and Yankee Lake water treatment facility. Schools are all A-rated, but middle and high school aren’t most sought-after.
