Baldwin Park
Downtown Orlando Real Estate
Baldwin Park is a traditional neighborhood development located between Winter Park and downtown Orlando, approximately two miles northeast of downtown Orlando. Built on the site of the old Orlando Naval Training Center, the community is similar to Celebration, Disney’s traditional neighborhood development in Osceola County. Baldwin Park consists of single family homes, townhomes, and custom homes situated around a village center with shopping, dining, and office space.
Baldwin Park residents enjoy 200 acres of parks and three community centers with an abundance of wide open green spaces, basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, playgrounds, tennis, track, pools, fitness rooms, and picnic areas. A 2.5 mile jogging, walking, and biking trail encircles Lake Baldwin, one of two lakes in the community. Just across the Lake Baldwin from Baldwin Park is Fleet Peeples Park, the Orlando area’s most popular dog park. Garages are typically located in the rear of the homes with access by alleyway, and many have upstairs apartments over the garage. Most homes have front porches large enough for seating.
99% of the infrastructure of Baldwin Park’s 1,100 acres is complete and population at buildout will be about 10,000. There are currently about 6,500 residents. Prices range from $130,000 condos to $4,000,000 custom homes.
Doug’s Insight: Great schools and amenities. Very nice alternative for buyers looking to be close to downtown but don’t want an older home. Also a good choice for those that like a self-contained community. Some would prefer the community to be gated. There are over 32 entrances to Baldwin Park
