25 miles north of Orlando, Debary savors and promotes its small town image. The community started out as a haven for retirees but has grown over the last two decades with many families attracted by the lower land prices. Debary now has several upscale and golf communities including Debary Golf and Country Club, home to U.S. Open qualifying rounds, and one of the fastest selling communities in the Orlando area. The city is also home to several nice parks with fresh water springs and is close to the St. John's River.
