About 27 miles west of downtown Orlando, this small town is built along one of Florida’s highest ridges and offers panoramic views of surrounding lakes. The extension of the East-West Expressway and an exit from the Florida Turnpike has opened the area up for commuters to Orlando as well as Disney and theme park employees.

Many retirees enjoy the uncharacteristically hilly area as well. The Clermont Chain of Lakes offers excellent fishing and recreational opportunities. Clermont is also home to several top triathlon competitions. Many new developments have opened in the last decade with several gated and golf communities.
